Find exercises that help you relax, you're not going to feel anything if you don't relax. Maybe that is the guy aboves problem, too tense, needs to loosen up.

A good flow of chi is begun by cultivating good prenatal chi and then flowing it through the body. Standing meditation such as that practiced in chi gong and chen taijiquan is a good method for developing your chi. Relaxation and letting go of your expectations of results is paramount.

To flow the chi, I would recommend the "silk reeling exercises" as practiced in chen taijiquan. There are videos available to learn the movements, but your progress will always be better under the instruction of a competent teacher.

As another mentioned, breath from the belly, relax, use circular movements and perform these devotions every day. Growth is inevitable.

And ignore those who do not believe in internal energies. What you experience for yourself cannot be denied. If others have not experienced it yet, then they have a great deal of wonder to look forward to.

Interesting that you're calling it qi when you have a handle of Hokoshin.....don't you mean ki?

Sorry man.....but I'm a stickler when it comes to getting asiatic linguistics and cultures aligned.

Now, yeah, simple as this.....breathe from your hara or belly instead of your lungs.

Inhale - push gut out.
Exhale - pull gut back, and flex abs.

This will not only increase energy from from your hara, but it will also work your abs like situps too.
(I don't do situps, but I've breathed like this for years....and have a
nice 6-pack....just something to also keep in mind. You'll make your gut more attractive to the women that way.)

Also, you increase oxygen flow and retention breathing this way as well.
