I'm a guy and usually the cut is like 15 minutes and it's a pretty simple cut. I've actually never tipped my hairstylist (I didn't know you were supposed to). They charge about $13-$15, so a $5 tip sounds excessive (maybe it's not?). I'm thinking around $3 would be good. What do you think?

$5.00 is appropriate for an exceptional haircut; usually 20% is proper....

Depends on the services provided. It's completely up to you. $5 isn't;t too much if you receive excellent service. Here is what I do and recommend...
Let's say the cut is $9. Add tax and it's a little over $10? Give them $15 and tell them to keep the change. We stylists have come to really appreciate tippers...
Something else you should know.. if you tip regularly to the same place, they keep track of you and will try to give you the best service possible to get that tip! It's just like waitressing!!! And we will treat you even better than the time before and strive to make it a pleasant place for you to come. Just a "tip" from me to you. Good Luck!

like countless different tips, i think of that 15% is easily suited. although, i in my opinion love the way my stylist does my hair, so I tip her 20%... and because I have been given my hair carried out a pair days after Christmas, I gave her 40% as a style of bonus... yet that replaced into in basic terms my very own selection. I used to get my hair carried out rather inexpensively ($10, $25 now), however the greater low priced stylist continually did precisely what i wanted, so i might tip her $5, as though it had fee me greater...

if its pretty basic no shampoo no blow dry but just cut with clippers then spray you wet to cut the top no products after to finish the look then 3 is good but if they did what i asked about 3 to 5 is good but they should for a guys cut do those before you give 5 or so also if they get to promptly and show very good customer service and asked about hair products then a little extra is good

three or four dollars is enough, paying for a $13 - 15 dollar hair cut for a guy is a high price anyway. give em a $4 tip

Depends on wether the hairstylist trims ear hair and crazy eyebrows. Extras deserve extra.

you should give the person $5 dollar. with $3 it wouldn't be good cause you might as well keep it in your pocket.
