The teen years can be so emotional.( I am not belittling you or what you are going through) I went through some similar things with my parents. They would take me to counsellors and I hated it. It made me very uncomfortable. I think the best thing to do is tell your parents how you feel. Tell them you'd like to find an alternative method of counselling. They care enough to go through these programs with you, so I'm sure they're ready to work with you here. Even show them your question, that may help. In fact, write them a letter, if it's easier. Your parents will always be on your side, even if they're not(if that makes any sense to you). They want the best for you, and they want you to be happy. By the way, I don't think anyone thinks you're stupid, they probably want to videotape you so they can study the conversations afterwards, or so they can see how much progress is being made. Don't worry, it's all a lot more common than you think. Try and be as positive as you can about it. So, cheer up and God Bless you!!! There's so much to enjoy out there.
Make sure you talk to your parents about why you're depressed. Don't keep it inside. I'm sure they'll help however they can! (it helps to talk to a friend too, or a sibling)

Chillax. Take a breather. Try not to spaz out about things; it's not healthy.
Try to be open minded about what's going on in your life and try to learn from it. If you want to stop being treated like a child, you have to stop acting like one. Stop trying to be defensive and just take it all in. Open yourself up instead of trying to close yourself in. The soul is claustrophobic. Even if you think it's bullcrap, listen to people. Listening to others is a good way to figure out what's wrong for yourself. Crying is a good way to release tension, but try to find some creative outlet.
Learn to be happy. If you can cry about the little things, you can smile about them too.
Other than that...if you're just going through puberty then just take it as a "this too shall pass" thing.

properly, i understand what being depressed is all about. i have been it for very nearly 2 months now, till very last nighttime. even even with the undeniable fact that i'll't allow you to realize what's its favor to be contained in the nearest because i'm right now, yet i understand it really is difficult, and also you in ordinary words ought to flow alongside with the precedence, and in case you sense its precise to say something than do it. yet when not, you're purely going to ought to not rigidity out a lot, and purely type of flow alongside with the bypass, via the undeniable fact that'll get you farther than getting flustered over it, once you realize there is not something extremely you could do, unles you want to go back out. This probably would not help you a lot, sorry.

You are in a state of depression. Your "rough time" must be discussed with your parents. You may think it will just go away, or get better but if you don't talk about it with someone you will not be able to cope with the "interview" you are being sent in for. Your parents must really care for you to take such a drastic step to bring you back.Peer pressure is so huge in todays teen society that most teens just try to "fit in". If you don't talk to someone you will regret it. Remember be yourself, and talk to someone.Be honest. You will not regret it.Depression gets worse with time, not better.

How old are you? Do you have to go? I would really suggest that you get alone in a quiet place and pray. The more you think about a problem the bigger it gets. I know from personal experience that prayer is a weapon you can use against depression and being anxious. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and help you. Ask Him to make himself real to you. He will bring peace into you.You can call the following prayer line anytime -- 24/7. I always call when I need someone to speak positive things into my life and when I get sick. Oral Roberts Ministries 918-495-7777. I want you to know that God loves you and wants to help you -- ask Him for help.

I am guessing you are a teenager, one of the more suffering times in a person's life to endure. My heart goes out to you, dear one.
Take heart that this shall pass...you will get through the tough times, not easily, but at least you will. Try to be more understanding of the adults in your life...surely they are not ALL out to get you. And take time to spend time with yourself, quiet time to reflect on the day, and think on tomorrow. This is a time to be strong, dear one.

Please go to the psychiatrist and talk all your main problems,do exercising, going for a walk here and there.Sometimes your closest friends can relieve you for awhile but sometimes forever.Bathing and good food and concentration also add to the psychotherapy.

sounds like you would probably benefit from some type of counselling but what your parents are suggesting with this group thingy is obviously not your style..have you tried suggesting to them that you feel youd'd prefer one on one type counselling?
