i'm 29 and have never had chicken pox.last week i injected the shot.now i can see very very mild symtoms of it.my granma has never had chicken pox either.is it dangerous for her to be in contact with me?how long does the virus have the capability to be passed to other people?how can i be sure that i have the virus in my body?

yeah she might want to stay away from you for a while even people that had it before cause they can catch it again. That's what my parents told me. Cause I had them already. But I stayed home, so that's probably your best bet.

You should not be contagious when all of the bumps are dried up and scabbed over. If they are wet at all, then the virus can still be passed. 10-14 days from the onset approx.

21 days is the incubation for chicken pox

my husband has shingles @ the moment -- which caused my son to get the chicken pox -- look up chicken pox or ask your doctor -- also look up shingles& know all the signs for that as you may get these potentially deadly things later in life --- please dont givem to granny!!!!

i can sit dormant for 2 weeks!and after the first signs it takes 2 more weeks to get rid of it!

until they are no longer open (pus filled.) three to seven days after the spots are seen.
