If babies, mentally incapable and people who never heard of christ are exepmt from hell, why keep spreading the word. If no one knew about Christ, then we all be exempt from hell. But if you keep the word alive people will be damned to hell. What is the greater evil? Why give someone the opportunity to go to hell?

That is a great point. Sounds like someone found a loop-hole.

That is impossible though - because the all knowing lord wouldn't allow loop holes, right? Maybe he is just a big beaurocrat sitting behind a big desk, rewriting religious laws like he worked for the IRS.

Well, actually, you may be mistaken on a few things. First of all, there is evidence that Christ appeared in North and South America after His resurrection, in Native American histories and the petroglyphs of the ancients.

Secondly, considering the misery Adam and Eve suffered after being evicted from Paradise, it stands to reason that their testimony would reverberate through the ages, from generation to generation. In Old Testament days, it was not that uncommon for people to have personal relationships with God. He was more open to them than He is to us, because of our bullheaded ways. Once you experience that personal relationship, there is no keeping silent. Their testimony, too, would reverberate through the ages. Moses, Ezekiel, Job and many others have written their testimony. Those who followed prophecy followed the Star when Jesus was born, and the New Testament is first hand or dictated accounts of Jesus' life and miracles.

Do you see where I'm going with this? Hearing about God's creation, and about the sacrifice made by His son, Jesus, is inevitable. Hearing about the miracles, love and hope is also inevitable.

Consider this: what if you chose to come to Earth in your body, with your family and your life experiences, knowing full well what was in store, both good and bad. Would you then approach this life with the thought there was something you must LEARN here?

If you think you might -- just might -- be here to learn, then you would understand that you had a place to return to. That place would be filled with spirits just like yours, waiting to welcome you home. You could have been forced to learn the lesson, but that is terrorism, not love. You CHOSE to learn, and came to understand the value of the lesson you were given.

When Jesus was resurrected, He told people that He was returning to prepare a place for us. If you read carefully, you can see that He is teaching others while He prepares our homecoming. Wouldn't you think those others are the ones who never had a chance to hear about Him on this world? Everyone WILL have a chance to choose.

Whoa. I just posed the same question, worded differently. OK, my own answer here. Calvinism assumes that babies are NOT innocent. We ALL deserve Hell. Baptism is a sacrament that officially recognizes the infant as under the covenant of God's grace. Is Baptism a condition of going to Heaven? No, it's God's prerogative all the way through a person's life. But His people would want to mark their children out as being just as much a part of the covenant as they are.

Hope that answers your question from my angle anyway. I'm looking forward to the Arminian logic.

All people will be judged by God. Those who did not know of Christ before they died will still be judged and only God can tell who will enter the kingdom of heaven and who will not.
To tell people of Christ is to give them an explanation of Life and how to attain life ever lasting. If they reject Christ then they reject God the father and will die in their sins.
Christians are trying to save people from dieing in their sins by telling them that if they accept Christ their sins are paid for.

You're assuming that God isn't merciful.

You're also assuming that there are no benefits to hearing and accepting the word. There are. Most Christians are just trying to show you the blessings and love that having a relationship with God can give you. I'm sorry that sounds bad to you. I'm sorry that you don't want caring people in the world.

Hello,
Because there are certain people that have responded to God's calling, but are not yet believers. That was me 20 some odd years ago. God uses people to keep the message flowing. That's me now. You see, God wants some people, but doesn't want most. That's why Jesus said not to cast pearls before swine.

Sorry, but I didn't tell Jesus what to say. I'm just reporting.

A Christians goal goes way beyond avoiding hell. We love Jesus and want to honor Him. There is joy in following Jesus, and the fruits of the Holy Spirit make life worth living.

have not got the time or power to study via your rant and attempt to decipher. You needless to say have your individual ideals as all and sundry has a filter out wherein some ideals are well-known as completely authentic with none theory and a few would desire to confuse you to even what they are meant to recommend. To sum up a number of what i think of you have become at - no longer ALL CHRISTIANS are suited. you won't be able to pass around attempting to throw the toddler out with the bathwater and condemn faith, the Catholic Church or perception via fact some human beings screw up. Uh, that's what Christianity is all approximately. it rather is approximately striving to be greater clever and greater clever each and daily. Catholics have self assurance we are all sinners and all unworthy of salvation, yet we attempt for it. we don't think you're doomed considering which you're of yet another faith or no faith in any respect. We have self assurance our faith to be maximum ultimate and maximum authentic, yet no longer the only actual thank you to God. Many different Christians heartily have self assurance their faith is the only way and somebody else on the earth will burn for eternity. case in point the JWs have self assurance that rubbish. study and learn greater with reference to the Catholic Church and that i think of your stress and confusion would be diminished extensively.

I'm sure they knew of him just decided to create their own gods. It says in the bible in order to get into heaven you must first except jesus christ into your heart as your savior. If people don't know then how would they except him into their hearts? Thats why we spread the word and not to mention we want to share the glory and the blessings. I just feel sorry for those who don't except the offer.

"Go forth into all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit"

It's our job, this was the Great Commission given by Jesus

Also, people not accepting the word are damned to hell. God is not damning them, they are damning themselves.

If people don't know right from wrong, they should be shown that compassion, forgiveness and love is right. And eternally will be. The only way for some one to grasp the concept of true unconditional love is to show that Jesus has the most real love for all of us.
