Does anyone know how to use a Garmin 60CSX?

The manual isn't real helpful. I've downloaded TOPO onto my computer and would like to start using the 60CSX to guide me in rides in the mountains around S.F. but so far it isn't getting a lot of use.

You know, I have a Garmin Rino. I am an avid hunter and fisherman and all around outdoors guy. I spent two tours of combat duty in Iraq. I have to admit the Garmin has saved my *** but I totally prefer a good old map and compass. They are much easier to master than GPS.
