My friend says I'm missing out when I eat lobster because I only eat the claws, little legs, and tail. She says there's a lot of sweet meat within the lobster's body. Is this true or is she just trying to gross me out next time I eat one? Where is this other meat located and how do you get to it?

All the meat is edible but not worth it unless you want lobster meat for a lobster salad or a lobster stuffing. The meat in the back is chewy and has the seafood salt taste. This meat is fine for leftovers that you are going to turn into a lobster stuffing, or lobster anything else. Does not have the gourmet taste of the rest of the lobster. I am one of those people that does eat the green, nasty part. It is called the tamale of the lobster but is the liver. Not recommended if you dont like liver taste.

She is nuts.... there is almost no real edible meat in the main body.

Stick with the tail and the claws... ( I don't even eat the little legs..lol )

Some people eat the green nasty crap that comes out when you twist the tail off.... but not me.

By the time you get to it you will be frustrated, disgusted or pissed. The tail and claws have the easiest meat to get to.
