It is eczema-
atopic dermatitis.
Look & Location Of Atopic Dermatitis
The Look Of Skin With Atopic Dermatitis:
Atopic dermatitis looks different in every individual. In majority of cases, the skin looks red, dry and itches very much. In few people, atopic dermatitis oozes. The itch makes the sufferer scratch and that creates more problems such as infections, etc. With repetitive scratching, the skin may become thick. The main treatment of atopic dermatitis is therefore proper diagnosis, stopping the flare-ups by identifying the triggers and keeping itch away by moisturizing and using medicines.
The Location Of Atopic Dermatitis:
Infants suffer atopic dermatitis on most of the body, though it often begins from the cheeks. With different age groups, the location of atopic dermatitis may vary and follow a pattern. You can expect atopic dermatitis on any part of the body, mainly cheeks, forehead, legs, scalp, forearms, neck, knees and ankles.

So sorry to tell you, but you probably have eczema. Really dry, itchy skin. Because you itched too much you have now caused an infection, but not to worry go see a dermatologist and they can cure the infection....but not the eczema. I find the things that work best for me are using All detergent, Dove soap, baby oil, and lots of lotion. The best of luck to you.

You really should go to a doc, tho. Have you checked out www.webmd.com yet? They have a symptom checker that might help you relieve the itching between now and when you can see a doc.

Dear, You need to find a good dermotologist and have the doctor check you up instead of wasting your time hoping to get answer from people who have no medical background.

It sounds like maybe folliculitis. You need to get it checked out because it could be caused by a flesh-eating bacteria.

If it is eczema, one possible cause is a yeast infection.
For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.

If there is actual pus - that would indicate infection.
