try to sleep, read a book you have been meaning to but have not had the time. start a conversation with the people sitting around you (if you want and they seem nice); there should be movies available, write letters to your family. people have forgotten how to write on paper. make a to do list for yourself when you get home. plan your next trip. DVD's are good, iPod is nice too. Bring some playing cards and play Solitaire. File your nails. word puzzle books (i usually pack for the kids, but there are ones for adults). Do you knit? Knitting needles are allowed. Draw - pick up some colored pencils or crayons and a plain pad of paper and go for it. draw stick people, draw letters, pretend you are drawing for a contest. The theme is "trees". Before you know it after all the above and let's not forget eating, drinking and being merry, the flight will be over. Good luck!

Sleep, Eat, watch a movie, sleep some more, eat and watch another movie, then sleep a little more, then eat something and watch a movie and then grab a bite to eat followed by a good movie. Next you can rest with a nap, the having some food, then check out a movie followed by a little shut-eye and a snack and then see what movie is playing, then a try to sleep and wake up to some airplane food then catch a movie...................x 10 hours. It isn't pretty but you do survive somehow. I'm usually anxious to get to my destination and that helps. The last hour is seems the longest to me so I always save something I really want to do like read a special article or the last few chapters of a book or eat a special snack I brought along. Travel is such a wonderful thing to do. Meeting new people and cultures etc. The long flights are tough but they sure beat walking! Bon Voyage!

Here are some good albums for your iPod: Fresh Cream, Cream; Disraeli Gears, Cream; Wheels of Fire, Cream; Goodbye, Cream; Live Cream Vol. 1, Cream; Live Cream Vol. 2, Cream; Reunion Concert, Cream; Tommy, The Who; Live at Leeds, The Who; Who's Next, The Who; Live at Fillmore East, The Allman Brothers Band; Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Derek and the Dominoes; Live At The Fillmore, Derek and the Dominos; Let It Be Naked, The Beatles; Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles; Abbey Road, The Beatles.
That should cover 10 hours. If not, watch "2001: A Space Odyssey" on your DVD player.

I would take some sort of sleeping pill as soon as I got on the plane and then read until I pass out. When you wake up then take a walk around the plane, get a drink of water and then start watching your DVD player.
One other suggestion is to try not to sleep more than a couple of hours between now and your flight. I hope you have a great trip.

The best thing is to buy a PCX sony to watch movies on. Youll have to buy the extra memory so it will hold 8 movies. Dont forget your at risk for DVT or deep vein thrombosis. Make sure you make a trip to the bathroom to get your circulation going as much as possible. Bring a book, mini checkard board, cards to play with the person next to you. One of those exercise things you squeeze between your legs so your legs are not restless. Caracas to paris is dangerous now with the terrorist. Remember, a thumb to the eye can pop it like a grape. Stay up until you should be going to bed in the country you are going to and take a small pillow and your own throw and SLEEP. Wake up and watch a movie play a game read a book. I take a bag of beads and all sorts of charms when I fly and make bracelets with elastic string or ankle bracelets. Watching a few movies on your DVD is what I usually do..
Good Luck!
Oh if u are over 21... take a shot of brandy and you will relax!

First you should be sure what the Airline is going to allow you to carry on! But, I think I would have a few drinks before boarding, have a simple book to read and then sleep most the way and be ready to do something when I get there.

These are the things I recently did to pass time on a long flight:
Count how many times I got kicked by the kid behind me
Stood in line for the bathroom
Squirmed a lot in my seat (man those seats are REALLY small)
Read my seatmates e-mails over his shoulder
Listened to the woman in front of me ramble on an on about her dog
