Jealousy and pride. By the way, we may only give 1%(wrong), but without our aid,I wish the rest of the world luck, because the US is the major funder of every major aid and humanitarian effort around the world and we get sneered at for not doing enough. Maybe if the citizens of the countries we aid took control of their governments and did not let all of the aid remain in corrupt governments, we would not have to give aid and they would have to find another reason to hate us. At least our "1%", could be kept on our shores to fund housing and programs for our own citizens at the poverty level and more money could be put into our educational system so we could stop falling further behind other countries in education.

They take our token of gratitude as a weakness. They say they hate the west and everything about it yet what shoes do they wear: Nike, they drink Coca Cola, they smoke American Cigarettes. Also we give more money and aid to other countries than any other country in the world. Just look what Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are doing, and that's just two private citizens. You don't see the French out there giving aid unless its for the oil for food scandal, and then who's money was that. The USA funds most of the UN.....

How does the richest country in the world still have homeless people, prostitution, illegal drugs, and crime? If we give out so much money then why do all these of things still exist in our country? I'll tell you why, because we DON'T give out as much money as you think. The French think Americans are pigs, England considers us stupid, Iraq and Afghanistan hate us because of our idiot President and his Republican monkey leaders, Canada has better health care and medicine, etc., etc. We aren't that rich, our government isn't that smart, and we have some lousy a** people running the government making excuses for why we have so many problems.

We are giving aid as a humanitarian gesture
We come in as peace keepers the richest country
We do not take over to make them a conquest because they asked for help not take over
We want other countries to come to our aid or allow us to cross their borders
We do not dominate control because the Revolution was fought and the Civil War was fought to keep our freedom

God is our control but we can not claim to be master and control what God has and expect to prosper as we do.
Master we have no master or Master no one if we want protection and grace from God WE MUST GIVE

eg, britain gives every brazilian 12p - and every brazilian gives britain 40 pounds
see lords of poverty, graham hancock
the first world takes $200 billion a year more than it gives
after centuries of colonialism ie plundering, the first world is still squeezing $200 billion a year out of africa, which now has an economy smaller than italy's -
the first world is actually in debt to the third world - the poor man pays for all - the first world have plundered for centuries and owes the third world all it has

How much money do we really give to the rest of the world? I think you might want to research that first. Apart from military aid, we only give out a couple billion, or less than 1% of our budget.

yep pride is in their way..cant really blame them but most countries are jealous of us due to the fact we rock in the USA & have to power to prove that!
I cant imagine living in any other place and not have what I do here in the US..can you?..=)
