My brother is 19 years old. He is unintelligent, a mama's boy, talks in "baby talk" ALL THE TIME, clingy, rude, tactless, lacks ANY means of common sense, seems to have no conscience, and just lacks all sorts of people skills. I don't think he's retarded because I hate him (but don't get me wrong, I DO hate him), I think he's retarded because he acts like he's retarded. Seriously. Not like the normal kind, but some kind of "special" retardation. Even my mom says that she's worried that she did something wrong while he was in her womb, because even she recognizes the way he acts.
This is a SERIOUS question. And don't gripe at me for saying "Retarded" instead of "mentally challenged" or some ****, political correctness can kiss my ***.
Any idea what his problem might be?

An IQ test (preferably administered by a professional not a free website) is a good place to start. Mental Retardation is commonly defined by IQ.

No idea on the problem, but if what you are describing is accurate, you should be able to get the family doctor to recommend him for psychiatric evaluation. How is he doing scholastically? That might give people some idea if he is challenged.

Maybe your mothr needs to bring him for checkup at the pedeatrics and theyll do some tests on him i rarely dought alot of kids act like that because theywant attention thats kids for ya!!
