Today I was coming back from Albany and my right arm started tinging and my hairs on my arm feel like it was standing up. Can anyone tell me what was going on.

It may be early signs of blockage of bloodflow...regardless if it happens again u should see a doctor.Sounds like circulation problem.Best of luck to u:)

was your arm resting on anything? If so, the arm might have "fallen asleep" and then when you moved it, the nerve reacted and you got the tingling and feeling like hair was standing up -- nerve decompression doesn't always have to be "pins and needles" as it comes back -- alternatively, if your neck was in a weird position, this can also affect your arm.
If this continues, and isn't a one-time thing because you were in a weird position, you should call your doctor.
Google "tingling arm" for more advanced reasons (really, only pertinent if this was not brief, and if it happens more than once, otherwise, don't bother!)

Could be that you had your arm bent in the same position longer than usual while driving and was causing poor circulation, that can cause numbness, if it happens again try hanging your arm down for a few seconds and shaking your hand and wriggling your fingers until the numbness and tingling leaves. If it happens frequently, or you have other symptoms that are unusual for you, you may want to check with a doctor.

your body was teling you to roll the window up or your arm fell asleep or you something brushed against your arm and your body was just reacting to the touch

your arm might of fallen asleep...or maybe if you had been sitting for awhile, you got a pinched nerve in your back.
