I have been looking to have a serious relationship. I dont go to clubs or bars. Does anyone have any advice about where to meet nice men or offer any advice to me. I have tried an online dating site and it is not something I think is comfortable for me.

I actually do not have an answer for your question, though it is a good one. I am in your situation as well, and it is impossible to go out anywhere to attempt to meet a man. That's why I think there should be a Single Parent Playdate where you bring you child(ren) and be able to meet people........good idea huh?

You could take an elective class that interests you. You could join social groups. Do you get invited to private parties? You could take up tennis, swimming, or some activity that brings you and other people together. Be creative. I find it a little ironic that you don't date online yet you come online to ask people how to meet people, but not online. Why not meet people online? Everyone here who answered your question is online.
You know what I think? I think the question is more about not how do you meet someone but rather will you recognize when you meet someone or will your mind be blind to the person you just had a chance to meet but didn't because of your own unfounded standards. Anyways, good luck attractive educated you.
p.s.- I think the good men are at home just like you. Something to think about.

Wow, you're chances have been greatly narrowed. No bars, clubs, internet dating...... Then you'll just have to let fate decide. Go out often to malls, concerts, church, etc. Maybe Mr. Right is waiting out there for you. Good luck and best wishes.

Somewhere Social/ apparently some obscure study said the best place to meet good men was the 'mall', and the second best place to meet them was 'a church'.

sorry but if your not into online dating the only option is maybe something in your state... if you religious maybe singles church functions would be a good choice. Good luck.
