What did he say? If they really hurt you, you need to talk with him, thats what makes a long distance relationship work. Guys can be really dense, so I would talk with him, explain that he hurt you when he wrote _______and _________. Things are taken differently on paper then they are in person, as he could have meant to say them jokingly. Once he realizes where he went wrong, he should respect where you are coming from. If he writes things like that again, tell him you need someone whose more respectful to you, and leave him. Dont want to break up with him if he's left in the dark.
Whatever happens, hope it works out for the best

If you have to ask others if you need to break up with him about an issue such as that, maybe your not even sure if you want to actually be with him. Often time, our concerns or questions about life manifest themselves into certain issues such as that. Maybe you are looking for an excuse to get out! If your heart tells you that it could excellerate and become more of an issue, then I say break up!! Only you can decide. Try talking to him...not strangers!!!!

I don't think anyone should ever break up over a statement. Talk to him about it. If he uses the statement as a guide to answer some of his problems or something, then you choose whether or not he is worthy of your time. In my opinion, I wouldn't keep going with it. But thats only if he acts on what he says.

I was once in a long distance relationship.. Long distance aren't met to last.. because how could u actually love someone when u don't see them.... and the disrespect part... get rid of him... most likely he only sees u for sex any way

You have to say to him openly that you found those remarks of his to be disrespectful to you. If he apologizes, then perhaps you can give him another chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. However, if he does not apologize, the right thing to do would be to leave him and not look back.

You need to follow your heart. I know it can be difficult and confusing, but if you feel that you need to do it then you do it.

If he is insulting you in a letter imagine what he would be like in person, you might want to take that into consideration

well since we don't know what he wrote then I would say why dump him for something like that. If you don't like him then dump him, but jsut for something that he says, you had better get used to that, guys say all sorts of mean and nasty things, that is just how they are..

I think you should tell him you found what he said very offensive. Depending on his reaction on that i think you should then decide if you still want to be with him.
