My fave mixed drink is a Margarita on the Rocks.

I use 2 ounces of good Tequila such as Cabo Wabo, ` ounce of Contro (an orange liquor), lime juice of one lime, 1 ounce sweet and sour, and ice. I shake all of this in a shaker and serve in a salted margarita glass.

I'm on a Cosmopolitan kick right now when I go out, but at home I'll usually have a glass of wine or a Segram's Cooler. Cherry Fizz is my favorite.

Cosmo
Vodka, Triple Sec, Cranberry juice and a lime slice

I agree with Mira, a well prepared Mojito in the summer is the best refreshing drink.

It is a Cuban concoction made by muddling fresh mint leaves, limes & their juice, then adding simple syrup and club soda.

Here is one recipe, you can always adjust it to your taste....

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Light-Dry rum
6 mint leaves
1/2 lime
2 tbsp. Simple Syrup (or 4 tsp. sugar)
Club Soda to top off drink in glass

Directions:
Muddle mint leaves and lime in tall glass. Cover with simple syrup and fill glass with ice: add Rum and club soda; stir well. Garnish glass with lime wedge and sprigs of mint..

Simple Syrup
2 parts sugar, 3 parts water, boil then cool or place sugar & water in micrwaveable container then heat until first boil. take out and cool in freezer or fridge.
