No, I drink a soda every day and maintain a constant weight.
You can't make such general statements about diet and weight. Overall diet, metabolism, and activity are a few factors that have to be considered and they are different for each person.

I would assume you mean one glass or can of soda a day, well I'm a soda lover a liter a day and I've been the same weight for months I've never gone to any gym. maybe someone who sits on their butt all day every day and drinks a soda a day will gain the weight but not if you are atleast somewhat active.

I drink 4 or 5 a day and have lost weight. And I also drink milk and eat Ice Cream. Where did you get your figures? Are you sure you don't have soda confused with Beer?

That's not true.
If you don't exercise, then you will gain weight.
If you skip 50 food calories and drink the soda instead, you won't gain weight.
If you drink diet soda, you won't gain weight.
A soda's calories are very easy to burn off. A Super Size anything isn't.
Caloriewise, soda is lower than fruit or vegetable juice.

I work out everyday and drink about 4 sodas a day and don't gain the weight. You didn't bother to consider any calories being burned off. Kinda lame logic in your blanket statement there dear. lol

I average about 2 sodas a day and I actually lost a little weight last year
obviously, it depends on the person involved, and on the rest of their diet and on their excersize level

Soda is loaded with sugar, and depending upon your metabolism and your lifestyle you may or may not put on weight.
I don't drink soda anyway. I prefer fresh fruit juice out of the non-alcoholic options.

that seems interesting. soda, or pop, has been changes over the years. it has never been a source of proper nutrition. it has evolved fro that and now it actually snatches away the nutrition. that could be a contributing factor
