1. Is music haram? It's a matter of controversy. Some scholars say music is Haram, some say it is Haram only in certain conditions.

2. USA is not a Muslim country. Moreover, applying Shariah rule without being a Muslim is absurd. So it's ridiculous to enjoin such rulings in USA.

we muslims say that the quran is the continuation of the torah and the injeel yet you will see many places where music is not forbidden in any of the three books..now if you say the torah is corrupted then tell the so-called scholars to stop insisting that the prophet muhammad is spoken of in the torah since it is "tampered and corrupted"...unless of course they want to pick and choose what they want to accept and the quran speaks of those who pick and choose as well as alter words from their places. music is haraam in the man made contradictory books of hadith(supposed sayings of the prophet(a.s.) 200 yrs. after him) and not the quran in which allah(swt) calls complete and fully detailed. if you follow the hadith then why follow everything except the verse where the prophet says "anyone who has written anything of me(the various hadith) other the quran should burn it" . does anyone need a lighter?

Ultra fanatical Muslims have stopped music (the Taliban, for example), but music is not considered bad, or forbidden.

Well, why for usa alone ........... i believe it should be banned from all over the world (ppl are going to refer to me as Islamic extremist .......... but what is wrong is wrong, and if majority are 'wrong', then 'wrong' doesnt become the 'right') ............ But the thing is Who is gonna Ban it? its so much spread in every community that its like running in ppl's blood, but that doesn't mean that we Shouldn't Condemn it. Peace to All.
