Oh My GOSH YES!!!! Like my jaw gets stuck and it hurts like anything!!!!! It happens to me every so often...What you do is you wiggle your jaw back and forth really quickly and that usually lets it loose..if that doesn't work you try opening your mouth wider.
p.s. I hope your still not stuck like that while waiting for someone to answer you!?!?! :)

If you mean that your jaw locks open when you yawn, that's not too fun. Here's how to fix it:
When your jaw is stuck open, you need to reach in your mouth with both hands. put your fingers as far back on your molars on each side as you can. You have to pull STRAIGHT DOWN on your jaw (straight down, meaning toward the floor when you are in an upright position). Usually, this will unlock the mandibular condyle so that it can go back to it's normal position.
If that doesn't work, go to the nearest emergency room.
I used to have a patient whose jaw locked upen at almost every appointment.

Yup. Its happened to me.
The secret to undoing it yourself is to open it a bit WIDER and then try to close again.
Most people's jaws are designed such if they open too wide and the jawbone can slip out of the socket a little and then it locks up because it is sleightly out of joint.

Yes I have, several times, but only when I was a kid. It is normal, and no cause for alarm. Just relax and it will go back to normal.

It sounds like you have TMJ. I'd visit my dentist if I were you, it can be corrected.
