i got the kind from the dentist that lasts for 21 days...it doesnt say on the box if they need to be kept cold...but the person who got them for me says they need to be

No, they technically do not need to be refrigerated. But...if you are planning on keeping them for awhile then the refrigeration actually makes the whitening ingredients last longer. So, it's really your choice. If your using the strips only within the 21 days then don't worry about it but if you don't use some of them then it would be best if they were stored in your fridge. I have some opalescence bleach in my fridge right now. It has been there for a year. I use it for touchups and it works great. HAVE FUN WHITENING!!

No, they do not. They are not refrigerated in the drug store when you buy them, so you should not have to refrigerate them at your home. I have used them and they work perfectly fine without refrigeration.
