That's a large age gap for an upcoming Freshman guy in high school to be in a relationship with a sophmore in College. What do you think?
[it's not me, it's a friend. :P]

And once again, it is NOT me. I disagree with it, I just didn't know if it wasn't right to be against it.
& yes I know it is illegal haha.

Honey In this day and age he is called a child molester. When I was a kid, it wasn't so. But I was a kid 40 years ago. Now everyone is so upset about the age difference that you are messing his future. The best thing you can do is leave this boy alone until you turn 18, and then magically, everything is ok. I am sorry we live in such a time, but we do.

no no no..that is a huge gap , i had similar problem with ages between kids but not 14-it was 16 and 22 so its not good -my worry was always what the hell is he thinking a huge gap like that 5 years is a big gap -if your friend was say..25 and he was 30 it wouldnt matter because theyre both adults making an adult decision but..if someone was 14 and going with a 19 yr old shes just entered teens and hes going out of them hes a man so no not good very creepy id be really worried about the intentions of the guy in this case mostly this happens due to control, power, etc..

NO>. that is totally WRONG>. and secondly, depends where these two are located.. not sure in the US or Canada, but because the girl is under age - 16 - it may be considered 'rape'. Ask yourself this, look into the eyes of a parent.. if you had a daughter that was 14 with a 19 year old boyfriend, would you allow her to date him??
Certainly not .. the reason is that the 14 year old girl is still very young to make necessary decisions and the parents' role on this planet is to "protect" the child and to guide her to grow up to be independant and a responsible young woman.
Hope that helps !

Ummm... Here's the deal... If it's is a extreemly mature guy and a somewhat immature girl, then maybe. But They are on totally different pages of life at the moment. The guys is just thinking on how to organize his life and do extracircular activities and the girl is living life and probably partying. I'd say that this would be a very interesting couple to try to give it a go, but then again... I'm not saying that it won't work. It'd just be wierd considering how "mature" the two people probably are.

NO NO NO NO NO! This has drama written all over it...not to mention it's against the law. Let this girl go to college and find someone her own age and let this kid go through highschool not being robbed of all those experiences, cuz that is exactly what will happen. She won't do the prom, because she's been there, done that. He'll start drinking because that's what college kids do. And then his friends? Ha! He can say goodbye to those because she will think they are immature. Honey, it's just a bad deal all around and any way you look at it. Advise him not to.

Well it is a serious age gap. But does the chick even know hes a freshman? I mean how tall and big is? Cuz she probably thinks based off his size or something that he is much older. But if she knows hes 14. She had totally better not be doing anything sexual with him cuz she'd totally be in jail.

Five years is too much of an age distance. The girl will be a pedophile and lokk pathetic going out with a 14 year old boy.

Us girls like the maturity of a man because we like to feel protected by someone who is stronger than we are, but that doesn't mean that as a girl we should go around looking for an older man. We should be able to keep our minds firmly on the ground instead of it being lifted by some older guy.

Way to large of a gap at this age. It'd be different if they were both adults, but they aren't. And the 19 year old could be jailed for statutory rape if he tries anything, whether she is willing or not.

Yeah it seems like a huge gap now but in a few years ... when say you're 20 and he's 25 it'll seem like nothing. But to others it's going to seem like a huge gap now. If you guys really like each other and you can make it work don't let what anybody else is saying bother you.
