I personally to do not subject myself to that kind of negativity, therefore I have not heard any degrading comments made towards the black race. I am sure they have been said in my presence at some time but I do not listen to that kind of garbage.

I used to hear people make racist comments when I was very young. (I'm 45 now, so like in the late 60s and 70s) But it has been years since I've heard anyone privately make any kind of racist remark in a conversation. People do it on here, to get people excited and angry, but I've never heard anyone say anything in a private conversation where they can't get attention. I really think, nowadays, generally people try to not be racist or are genuinely not racist.

I personally do not talk down about black people, but I've heard people say say that they are lazy and have to many baby's before marriage.

i hear it on practically a daily basis, and i usually agree with them.
BTW, i have lived for 49years in a county that is 75% black, the county directly north of mine is 90% black. when i go to a store, i am usually the only white one in there. i probably know more blacks than you do. and I know them well.
of course somebody on here is going to say RACIST!!! i tell them to leave their big majority white town and come spend some time in mine.
**FWIW, anyone who doesnt believe the racial stats that i gave, wikipedia Sumter and Greene Counties, Alabama, check racial demographics.

I work at a shoe store in which my manager is black. We had a man come into the store, frustrated, and say,"Well, she IS a minority, so what could I expect?" And it frustrated me to the core because she's like a sister to me...
