Read the answers to your question and you get several different means of salvation.

They may or may not be correct.

They're all based on someone's personal interpretation of scripture.

If I were you, I would do some more research.

The highest form of biblical prose comes from the lips of God: the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit.

If God says something in the Old Testament it may or may not necessarily carry over into the New Testament. It depends on what the church decided to bring over.

If God says something in the New Testament, particularly in the Gospels, pay attention. It's likely to be very, very important.

Next, go to the non-gospel writings and see what the various apostles had to say about things. Beware, though. Translations are difficult, and some of the concepts will be a bit tricky to understand.

That's why we get so many people claiming one meaning or another.

To make things as definitive as possible for you:

Jesus specifically told his apostles to go out and teach all nations, baptizing them (with water) in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus considered baptism to be important enough that he requested and received baptism for himself, and he also told Nicodemus that it was necessary for man to be born from above (born again) by water and the Holy Spirit, in order to inherit the kingdom of heaven.

The church which Jesus personally founded still maintains that water baptism, using the Trinitarian formula, is required for initiation into the church, as well as for the forgiveness of sins.

Finally, those who believe in "once saved always saved" must purposely ignore several different new testament passages of scripture which teach otherwise, as well as the constant teaching of the Catholic church, from the earliest days.

Salvation is a promise, as well as a process. It's not complete until you stand before Christ and he formally welcomes you into heaven.

He's the judge, and he has pretty high standards. He already told us there will those on judgment day calling out to him and saying, "Lord, Lord" who will be sent away.

That sounds like losing salvation to me.

God revealed all we need to know about it through his scripture, and through his true church.

Don't take anyone's advice about such a serious matter. Check it out thoroughly until you're completely sure that you have all the pertinent information.

4 things you need to know/ believe.
1. EVERYONE is a sinner. (Romans 3:23)
2. There is a price for sin (Romans 6:23, Revalation 20:14)
3. Jesus died and paid for ALL of our sins: Everybody, ALL sin,
Past, present and future sins. (big or small He paid them all)
(Romans 5:8)
4. We must receive Jesus as our personal saviour, and accept
the gift of ETERNAL life (in heaven) (Romans 10:13)

Accepting the gift is simple if you know and believe these things in your heart.
P.S. Once saved, ALWAYS saved. You cannot lose your salvation. Baptism is NOT a requirement of gong to heaven. If you don't get baptized you will be in heaven. Baptism should be after salvation to publicly proclaim your faith in Jesus.
I hope this helps. Look it up in the Bible.

Depends on the person; in order to receive salvation, you truly have to be repentant for your "sins"; some people just confess and keep doing the same old crap....no salvation for them...

I think confessing your sins to God and being truly sorry, and never doing that thing what ever it is again, and believing in God can lead to salvation and happiness in heaven.
However I don't believe you have to go to church to get into heaven. I've been told for years that God it Omnipresent.
I don't like church, today people use church for their own selfish gain. They aren't sincere any more. I pray and worship in my own way. I don't like to be preached to. If someone would come into my home and preach the word of God to me, I'd kick them out on their butt(s). When I want to know the word of God, I will read my bible. I'm so against people wanting to talk to me about God. It's like they think I'm stupid and don't know about him, and they are pushing him on me. I know what to do and where to go if I need prayer. I also think they are being fake and phony and I don't like that.

Muslims believe that mankind's salvation will result from the worship of God as "One" without equals or partners. Islam teaches us that we can pray directly to God without an intermediary and that no soul can bear the burden of another. The Qur'an teaches us that only God can forgive sins, punish or reward. The Qur'an also teaches us that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin and inclined toward goodness and is capable of doing good and unless taught against its nature, will incline toward good deeds. The teachings of Islam guide mankind back to our pure nature through knowledge of God
