Hey, why're you knocking them? They're entitled to their delusions just as you are to yours.

Yeah, as a person who was raised in a casually practicing Lutheran family, this sort of thing has always puzzled me.
I can see where Jesus, as the earthly son of god, and savior of mankind is a very important person, i still think God himself, is #1.
But, I have been told I'm wrong in praying to God and not Jesus by some Christians.
Therefore I call myself a christian, in that I follow the teachings of Jesus, but worship the father, the creator, and sustain-er of the universe.
This makes me a bit of a rebel to most "Christians."

Dear 31Yo5rwq,
You are quite correct to say that "God has the final word of whom goes to Hell and whom goes to paradise." This is why Jesus said of Himself,
"But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. . . . Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels. . . . These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matthew 25:31-46 NASB)
Since God has the final word on who goes to Hell and who goes to paradise, and Jesus is the One with that final word, you are a step closer to recognizing that Jesus is God.
As for the propriety of thanking Jesus, you are sadly mistaken. I state this not merely on my own opinion, but again on the words of Jesus:
"For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." (John 5:22-23 NASB)
So the question for you, dear Muslim, is there a time when you will start to honor the Son in the same way that you should honor the Father? Will you thank Jesus as your God and Creator?

Jesus is God. Jesus will be the one judging us on judgement day (2Corinthians 5:10), He is also the one that makes intercession for us to the Father (Hebrew 7:25; 9:24). We will all fall down and worship God the Father once we get to heaven. Read the book of Revelation and see how much worship we will give to Him.

Christians believe that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are 3 in one. They all are one united. The bible states that God said there is no way to get into heaven execept through His son.
So I guess the answer to your question is no. If Christians stop worshipping Jesus and ONLY worship God, they are no longer Christians.

31Yo5rwq,
Jesus is God. Haven't you heard? He's been given power and authority over all things. He did say to pray to the Father. So that's a point to support your arguement.
But Jesus hears, he also speaks from there upon occasion. But Jesus is God. You are treating them as different beings.

The bible says none shall come to the father except through the son.
And Jesus is part of the trinity godhead, they are three rolled into one.. That is a very difficult concept to comprehend but by worshiping Jesus you ARE worshiping God.

Wrongo!! Haven't you read Rev 1:18 "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
Jesus has the final word on who goes to hell, and since the Book with the names of who goes to heaven is entitled: "The Lamb's Book of Life", it seems Jesus controls that as well.
Listen, Jesus purchased the office of "The Firstborn of all Creation". That was the office Adam formerly held. Adam was the patriarch of all mankind, and as such, he was the ruler of all mankind. Jesus purchased the office by paying the price Adam owed, therefore, Jesus is our Arche, the ruling elder, the highest in order of rank.
In other words, he is our Lord, and will be throughout eternity.
Get used to it.

In the Bible it says that you can only get to the father through the son, so if u notice someday that ur prayers are just not being answered you might wanna start your prayer with In Jesus name i pray! Its the trinity; its God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit, they are one...
