I'm not talking about the typical "brain freeze" headache, but one that lasts for hours.

the only thing "strange" is your vague description. What's so strange about your headaches?

IT could be one of two things. If you are referring to frozen yogurt, then you are probably eating the frozen yogurt and ice cream too fast. Those headaches are caused from literal "Brain freeze" if you eat something cold too fast it causes they vessels in your head to swell and it gives you a headache. Drink something warm and the headache will go away almost immediately. :0)

If it isn't frozen yogurt, you might have an allergy to dairy and you should have it checked.

Probably some symptom of being lactose and tolerant.

maybe you're lactose intolerant. stop eating dairy and see what happens.
