I am 54, yet, I had that same cracking problem in my feet and my ankles for a about 6-7 years. Now, since both my feet broke withing the last 2 years, I have found out that I have serious osteoporosis and my bones are very weak. I suggest you have some tests to find out why your feet are cracking. I always thought it was just because my muscles were realigning. I was wrong - it was because my bones were weak.

Taking health advice from strangers on Yahoo Answers is not a good idea! A Professional in the health services field is the best source of advice. Cracking sounds coming from any joint area in the body can be the result of numerous causes. Go see a health professional and get a second opinion. You can drastically change the way you live later on in life by taking the proper action now.

Probably not normal..I have the same problem, I constantly sprained my left ankle when i was little and now it cracks when I walk or rotate them. I went to see a doctor and he just said that it was normal joint clicking and if I was worried, go see a specialist but it doesnt affect me and I hardly even notice it.

my toes crack when i walk barefoot, and i can crack my ankles anytime i want to. It is funny when it is morning when i was in school and my mom would wake up my brother and i she could always tell when was comming down the stairs. i don't have any problems with my feet, but if you are really worried then ask a doctor

I've had that same problem since I was about 15. I've had 3 different doctors check it out and they all said it was nothing I should worry about so hopefully they're right but I've never had pain or any problems with them so I assume they are correct. I also played soccer, basketball, hockey, and track all through high school and never experienced a problem. So unless you have some kind of pain or swelling I wouldn't worry about it. It just sucks when you're trying to sneak up on someone.

I think it's genetic. Mine crack, my dad's ankles crack, and my 3 y.o.'s ankles crack too. It's just air escaping from between your joints. Don't worry about it. It may preclude you from a career in burglary, though..sorry.

joints cracking is normal especially in areas with small bones, it means they are rubbing together. ALthough this constant cracking could eventually lead to problems and pains. My advice go see a chiropractor and get his advice.

I have the same problem with my knees and ankles and i went to an orthopetic and he said it was fine as long as it doesn't hurt! It just means you can't sneak up on anybody!
