Assuming you are English speaking, you might want to go to Singapore, since many people there (most?) can speak English. It also has many wonderful places to see. I've spent time in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Peoples Republic of China, and it is hard to get around because nobody speaks your language (or they do but don't want to admit it).
