If you are an athlete he probably just wants you to stay healthy for your sport and doesn't want to see you BECOME fat. There is more awareness now on obesity in children and he probably has been seeing all the media lately on making sure your kids eat healthy no matter what their weight or age. Don't let him make you feel bad if you feel good about yourself that's all that matters. If you start letting men change your opinion of yourself now that will never change and you will become like that later on when you date.

It's great that you are active, that's the easiest way to stay fit. As far as your Dad telling you what you can and can't eat....I guess that's OK, but he should allow you to eat 'junk' food every now and then. I honestly do not think that your father see's you as FAT, he's probably doing what he thinks is best for you and see's that you are happy now.
Usually when someone tells us we CAN'T have something, we want it more and end up over-indulging....so the ocassional 'junk' day will not hurt (as long as your dr. hasn't prescribed a special diet). Hope this helps! ⥠Tracy

Maybe he just thinks those foods are not healthy for you to be eating. There is a lot of chemicals and unhealthy ingredients that go into making packaged foods like that, maybe he just doesn't think it's good to be eating, no matter what your size is.

Maybe he just don't want you eating things that are bad for you. IF yo are an athlete you probably don't need to eat those things anyway.

maybe - or maybe he is concerned about your blood sugar- usually dads have a reason for being critical, he probably means well - you really should talk it out with him

Well, you tell us, are you fat or aren't you? What's your BMI? How about a pinch caliper test?
