illegal immigrants "ruined" it for those immigrants that have come legally? Is any such increase in hostility towards the immigrants we have accepted legally, continue to need, and, traditionally welcomed fair? Are Americans to blame, illegal immigrants to blame or does the blame deserve to be shared for any increased prejudice faced by legal immigrants inside the US? Just doing a follow up question to one I answered.

Another person throwing around some racism accusations. How origional. . .

Granted there are some that just hate others due to being of different nationality. And yes - the ones here illegally are the reason for it.

I don't hate people of other nations - I WELCOME them with open arms - as long as they are here legally. That is all I have against immigrants. Either they belong here (legally) or they don't (illegal).

Maybe Americans are xenophobes AND illegal immigrants 'ruined it'... No. They might have asked to come here but we said yes and we have yet to make them leave, as far as I have heard. I don't really keep up with this kind of stuff. I'm still on vacation for another day but to answer your question, I think we share the blame [but not half as much] with the immigrants even though I am NOT a xenophobe...
The law is the law...not simply a rule meant to be broken....Illegal is illegal.

americans have always had an intolerance of immigrants .... i feel for those that have nothing and no money willing to risk jail and trouble just to put alittle jingle in their families pocket ... i will never count myself among the masses of those that would persecute such poor and hard-working people ... there is room in MY country to help them out ... this is my thought, these are my feelings.

I think we still welcome those who have come legally. However the overburden on our schools and services means illegal immigration can't help but impact whether we would want more.
