Actually OPEC or some other oil producing organization had a meeting last week. The head oil minister from Saudi Arabia warned the other members that the price of oil should be reduced.
He mentioned a couple of reasons why. First, the rest of the world is seeking alternate energy measures at an increasingly rapid pace. I believe some breakthrough is imminent. And because of this the Middle East-Arabic countries will lose a lot of political clout as a result. Can you imagine if the rest of the world was no longer dependent on their oil.
He recommended the price be reduced eventually to about $40 US. Which is good news. Although you won't see too much of a reduction at the pumps.

Don't ask me why, but I have a feeling that Osama Bin Laden is a joke, that he doesn't exist as a leader of anything larger than a squad of towel-heads.
You can't be a commander of anything larger than a squad or platoon and always stay out of sight. If you have a few cameramen with you then you can create a military presence about yourself, but there will be nothing to command.
I think Osama is a fake. As long as he can draw attention he can be helpful to the real fighters by making it seem there is something powerful there. He's like a a ruse, a decoy that gets people running around looking for this faker. His real benefit may be in enlisting young soldiers who think they are joining the great Osama, or some such sh***.

The only thing that Osama controls is the Hide and seek champion title of the world.
Look at gas/ petro prices in the rest of the world. We are still paying much less than the other people.... The high gas prices are a result of good business practices of the major oil companies... Look at their profits for the last yr... It is thru the roof...

I guarantee the Oil company' profit margin has a lot more to do with it than Osama Yo Mama does. They are in no great hurry to repair and replace the offshore facilities damaged and destroyed by hurricanes in the last three years.
The chief cause of high oil prices is the lack of refineries newly built in the U.S. and abroad. The refineries control the production rate in conjunction with the crude oil suppliers.

no. he is dead but will be a martyr.
gas prices are high because it is a commodity.
people use soo much, there is no reason to lower the price of oil. When people use less, the will lower the price as an incentive to buy more.
But many idiots have bought gas guzzling behemoths that do not return decent gas milage and they have to buy 40, 50 gallons a week just to get from one place to another.

I don't. Gas prices go up for a number of reasons, and not just from foreign countries. The United States has troubles too, but hopefully someone will get that murderer very soon.

No, the gas prices have gone up because George Bush and the large oil company's conspired to create a mess in the mid east. It was a done deal when he was appointed. He sets idly by while people in America are hurting because of the price at the pump.
