What are they?Are they like normal colleges?

A community college is quite a bit cheaper than regular college and is usually accepting of anyone who applies. Typically they offer 2 year degrees (Associates degree, instead of a Bachelor's that you'd get in a 4 year institution)

community colleges are small colleges that prepare a student for going to a university.
They offer a 2 year degree usually called an AA or an AS..
Classes are usually smaller than at a university.

Community colleges are little colleges that prepares any students that applies for universities or regular colleges. They cost a little bit less than regular colleges or universities and they offer more one on one time to help the students.
