I'd like to answer that question... have you noticed the weather lately ;-)
It's likely people who disagree with you are the ones most likely to change the subject, to avoid some confrontation over religious beliefs.
Religion in school can be very upsetting for some, as they do not want their impressionable children taught beliefs that conflict with those of the parents. A lot of people feel a 'hands-off' policy fair for all. But then there are those who see a golden opportunity to recruit converts (all in the name of 'saving the children') and want their brand of religion taught in some/all schools.
Personally I think the place for religion in school is History/Social Science providing each religion is handled with equal magnanimity (though I doubt all teachers could manage that).

It has nothing to do with being at school....it's considered poor etiquette to discuss religion in social settings because it is such a touchy subject for most people. Those who realize this will change the subject before a possible argument occurs. Basically, don't talk about religion with people who aren't interested in discussing the subject.

And if someone tried to talk about Jesus at my school, i would calmly change the subject or walk away, because i don't believe in God or Jesus.

They are afraid of God. They don't like it when you question whether they believe or not. They think their peers will abandon them. The school probably doesn't want the subject brought up anyway. I would say keep talking. Or get a study group going after school.

is this a public college, and is the after-college application actual portion of the college? if so, it isn't criminal to do this. they could talk about god, as an get mutually, if it were to ensue in something they were studying, yet not contained in the experience of preaching. If it is an after-college application it really is privately-run, even with the undeniable fact that, it really is criminal to do this, because the separation of church and state in ordinary words applies if the college is a state corporation.

Because people in general don't like it when you preach. Public school is no place for you to try to convert people.

Most aren't or haven't learned of His blessings. Talk to those who are willing to receive.

Perhaps because you are preaching badly, perhaps because you are embarrassingly sanctimonious, perhaps they're Jewish and you're insulting their faith, perhaps because your dissing their beliefs, perhaps because you don't talk about anything else, perhaps you're annoying, perhaps they don't like you as a person, perhaps it's time you looked to see what *you* are doing wrong instead of assuming it's their fault.
