First cut off access to schools and medical care to ILLEGAL immigrants immediatly.
Second issue a proclamation that after 30 days ILLEGAL immigrants have no protection under the law.
If they choose to stay after the 30 days they do so at their own peril. The citazens can choose to defend their country from these invaders.

You have me up to implying (you never stated it, but the "feel" is there) we kill illegal immigrants. I don't believe that death is appropriate for someone here in this country illegally.
I DO think they should not have ANY benefits afforded to the citizens of this country. If they can get them, then of course they are going to stay without doing so legally.
joanna_m2001: The reason the government hasn't implemented anything like that is that they want the hispanic vote. They think (wrongly) that by implementing something like this would alienate the hispanic voters. Little do they see that by allowing it to go on they are pissing off the rest of the country and the immigrants that came here and did everything the LEGAL way. Why should the hispanics get better treatment by being here illegally than the people (including hispanics) that did everything by following the law??? THAT is unfair to me.

I don't like the idea of 'no protection', but I am happy with cutting off schools and all but emergency care. After their condition has stabalized after emergency care, they should be deported.
Our benefits are every bit as big as jobs as a magnet, particularly the schools. They are what MAKE this a 'better life' for their families.

I can't believe that in this day and age there is still so much discrimination and hate towards groups of people that are an intricate part of society and our economic system. Why do you think they haven't done this already because the US needs illegals and their money, be it being earned illegally, but regardless of this they need it.
I believe there is a large number of illegals in this country already and I'm all for more patrol at our borders and more policing but let's not punish the people that are truly coming to this country to better themselves. Let's get rid of all the illegals in our prison system and of all the gang bangers on the streets, that would be a smarter and more logical solution.
Also, don't forget that this country is based on immigrants, all of us were immigrants in this country at one point in history, people always seem to forget that.
