I started using Nivea body cream three weeks ago and after a week of using it, I developed a small bump on my stomach. I saw my dermatologist and he said it's eczema. Now it's spreading and I look like I'm covered in mosquito bites. Could the lotion have triggered the eczema? I've never been sensitive to anything like that and I don't have any allergies.

Eczema is a catchall term for many skin rashes, including those caused by an allergic reaction. So yes, the Nivea could have caused the eczema if it contained something that you're skin is sensitive to. Even though you've never had problems before, sensitivities can develop - even sensitivities to things that you've used without any problem in the past.

I dont know about the Nivea cream, but my 2 year old son has eczema and the pediatrician told me to use Eucerin cream and it has worked wonders. Stinks like stale beer but the smell goes away fast and his skin is great now.

According to the book I am reading, eczema, seborrhea and psoriasis are results of the Candida Albicans fungus (yeast).

This is also the same fungus that results in jock itch, athlete's foot, thrush (white tongue), vaginitis (in women), ringworm and other skin rashes. Any antifungal should keep it in check, but yogurt and other dietary changes may let it totally heal.

For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.
