Normally just plugging into the USB port should make the flash-drive accessible. Sometimes the USB port may play dumb and not recognise the drive if you have re-started the computer from the Stand-by mode. In this case restart the computer and then connect the flash drive.
If you are using Windows 98 then you may have to install the USB drivers which can be found in the CD that accompanied the flash drives.

For Win2000 and up: Plug it in. Wait for the computer to recognize it, and wait until the screen clears. Done!

Win 98: You may need to go to the manufacturer's website to obtain and Windows 98 driver. I had to do this for both a Dan-Elec and a Lexar flash drive.

There is no installation required. You just plug the flash drive into your usb port and your pc should pickup the new hardware.

That sounds like quite a few computer from the previous ten or so years. Any way became this a used lap correct? sounds like a tousledchronic per chance. once you bypass to my computer what drives does it record? after I positioned my thumbchronic in any computer it open in the job aspect on the bottom through the clock and all I easily ought to do is hit detect and pow it opens. even with the undeniable fact that with that any computer I plug into must have the abilty to open the files. If the equipment or drivers do not exist it gained't artwork.
