Not necessarily. Sometimes bad things happen to make us stronger, to teach us things we would otherwise miss, and sometimes its just simply meant to be. We learn how strong we can be... or how much we are willing to give... sometimes we realize what we truly want because of these "bad" things. I think its gods will... some say he would never make us suffer. But honestly the pain I feel when going through the tough times is nothing in comparison to the strength I eventually gain by pulling through the challenge. Its all a matter of opinion I guess!

They are not really christians. I dont think that God really has very much to do with any of the good things or the bad things. It is the persons will, God just watches.

I'd be a little suspicious about anyone claiming to know the will of God. Good and bad things happen, sometimes bad things happen to good people and sometimes good things happen to bad people.
I believe God gave you a brain and he expects you to use it. Not using it is a sin. One of the ways you learn to make good choices is through the pain of bad choices. So when we make bad choices and get stung a little bit it's really not a bad thing.
I wouldn't think an all powerful God requires the assistance of any human so why would any human need to know his will.

Let me get this right: are you asking for example that when a child is born then that is the will of God, but if that same child is born with the AIDS virus then God is unjust towards that innocent child?
God gave us FREE WILL. Meaning we can choose our own actions. It's not rocket science. Consequences follow all actions.
God gave us intellect to work things out. As I said before, thinking must be a painful activity for your if you have to ask this question.

I don't get it either. Makes no sense to me. This is a question I've had for many years myself. Why does god allow suffering all over the world? When something good happens to my family, they always brag about how God heard their prayers. What about the starving people all over the world, why doesn't God hear their prayers?

It was God's will that he destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah,
He caused the major flood,
And yes he does cause bad things to happen to bad people.
I realize that sometimes in our lives it is hard to understand why God causes or allows bad things to happen.
People have choices in life , you make good choices good things happen for the most part anyway.
If you know that something is wrong when you do it ,you know that there will be a price to pay.
YES or NO ?
If you search deeper within yourself you may find that the answers to your questions are there.
my email is open , sometimes it is easier to find answers that way,
I promise not to preach.

They invented Satan and original sin to cover the bad stuff without having to name God.
Unfortunately for them, it was God who created Satan and God who permitted original sin and it's not like God didn't know the consequences for both. They'll tip-toe around that uncomfortable truth, just watch ;-)

No one really gets it. Its all about faith and what you choose to believe. Some people believe that God is capable of no evil and Lucifer is capable of no good. What if God is just a really really smart alien who some times makes mistakes or gets mad and we pay the price. That scenario is just as likely as the what christians believe in. Its all a matter of what you choose to believe. Me, I believe I'll have a beer.

I don't know who you got those answers from but the Bible clearly says that God sends trials our way to test and strengthen our faith. Look at the book of Job where God allowed Satan to wipe out Job's family, take away all of his wealth and afflict him with painful boils.
Besides that, there is God's perfect will and his permissive will. In Romans 8:28 it says that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for their lives. So God might allow a bad situation to come about but in ways that often go far beyond our ability to comprehend He uses them for a greater good.
The God who put planets in orbits around stars and who put electrons in orbits around protons and who created the fantastically complex systems that exist in every living creature knows how to supernaturally work out all things in creation according to his master plan while allowing things to seem to go on without his "say so" about them.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
