I understand your question, but consider this from a sociology major...
Throughout history, every single society ever discovered has had certain things in common, what sociologists call universal social behaviors.
Cultures in deepest recesses of the Amazonian rain forest, who have never been in contact with the outside world, will have three universal truths...all will have some form of music, all will have laws or some form of rules against or regarding incest, and ALL will have some form of religion. All of them.
So while it is an interesting question to ponder what the world would be like if no one believed in God, it's a moot point. It is human nature to believe in a god of some kind.
I theorize that your actual question is, what would the world be like if everyone didnt believe in the God I believe in.

Been tried in countries like Russia, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, and other atheistic countries. In the last century those countries were responsible for over 180 million people murdered. Compared to 38 million in the rest of the word (including both World Wars) during the same time. I doubt that there would be many if any people left alive today. Thank God his people are still around to keep the world safe!!

Tit 1:10 Many people refuse to obey God. All they do is talk a lot. They try to fool others. No one does these things more than the circumcision group. 11 They must be stopped. They are destroying entire families. They are teaching things they shouldn’t. They do it to get money by cheating people.
Look around. Much is the same today.

The drama of life comes from the probability of impending death, from not being able to know all that there is to know and from the possibility of an immunity to death and eternal life of the soul and spirit. The drama of life and death is derived from the existence of discovery and mystery. The existence of discovery and mystery makes Gnostic Theism, Agnostic Atheism, Gnostic Atheism, and Agnostic Theism valid possibilities for souls to choose in ordering the chaos of minds in seed bodies that live and die. The existence of discovery and mystery makes possible the construction of models of self and world that include; spirit and no soul; no spirit and no soul; no spirit and soul; and spirit and soul. A diversity, variety and number of ways of make up minds only limited by our collective abilities and imaginations makes the global culture a far more entertaining place then would exist if everyone made up their minds about self and world in exactly the same way.

Well first we must ask ourselves, has religion ever been forced on people and the lasting effects of that thur the generations.
Since there is little known what society was like before religion it would be hard to say if it would be better or worse.

I think it would be like the rioting, anarchic societies that they show in the futuristic post-apocalyptic movies.
Most of the athiests I know have unimpeachable moral codes and are very kind and considerate people. But, somewhere back in time, the morals that dictate kindness, honesty, and law-abiding conduct were shaped by a belief in a higher power.

It would be terrible. Take Columbine for instance, those kids were killed because they believed in God. If more people believed in God, they would be kinder to the rest of the world. Those people who do not believe in God have no idea what real hope and faith is. God calms our angers and fears. If there were no one to believe in him anymore, the whole world would be lost. It is the people with faith that holds the world together, because we understand forgiveness. It is the people who do not believe in God that is causing the chaos now. People with faith would never kill those who do not, because it is God's place to judge.

Better. Religion is screwing up too much in this world. It is promoting ignorance and being used by politicians to further their greed. If people actually communicated and tried to make a better society together instead of dividing themselves over fictious gods, we would probably be a lot happier and would probably progress as a society much faster.

Better, one less thing to fight about. But wieghing this issue compared to hunger, or disease, it would rank on top. Thus, giving more time to think about the reality we truly live in.
