Hello!! :o) That would be frustrating - no doubt. Assuming you still haven't got your key out - have you tried moving the shift lever out of 'Park'? Sometimes - keys will get 'stuck' because we try to turn the engine off after having moved the transmission from 'D' to 'Park'. [But we don't actually get to 'Park' - we only get so far as 'Reverse'] If you CAN move the shift lever into 'N' - do so and try moving the key again. If it still won't move - put the shift lever into 'Park' and try the key again. Still nothing? Phone your local Lexus dealer and ask them for some 'free advice'. Good luck. Craig!! :o)

If the steering wheel does move then it may either be the lock cylinder / key is worn down and bad or the steering lock mechanism is bad. The Cylinder and Key replacement will run about $300 to replace with the new key and is easy to do.

My 86 Cavalier did that. You had to play with it and jiggle it and talk to it and swear at it. And then yea maybe it would go.
The ignition is broken and you need to get it replaced.
