the Qur'an? It is the final revelation of the will of Almighty God's to all of mankind, which was conveyed through the Angel Gabriel, in Arabic, to the Prophet Muhammad in its sounds, words and meanings. The Qur'an, sometimes spelled Koran,

It was conveyed by ArchAngel Gabriel, the same angel who had conveyed God's revelations to his earlier prophets, including Abraham, Moses and Jesus. Prphet Muhammad received this first revelation at the age of 40 in 610 A.D.

The prophet received the revelations on various matters, ideas, knowledge, elucidation, instructions, advice and guidance over 23 years. Sometimes the Prphet received a single verse, sometimes a few verses together and sometimes an entire chapter. God says: "We have rehearsed the Quran to thee (O Muhammad) in slow, well-arranged stages gradually." (25:32)

Upon receiving each revelation, the Prophet asked any one of his companions who could read and write to record it. This was done by the Prophet reciting the revelation he had received from God and a scribe taking it down. After the scribe had taken down what had been dictated to him (on the writing material of those days), the Prophet asked the scribe to read allowed what he had recorded - to make sure that he had recorded correctly what had been dictated to him.

In this way, the entire Quran, 114 chapters in all, was completed in manuscript form before the Prophet's death. The various chapters in the Quran were arranged by the Prophet himself through divine guidance. (The chapters of the Quran are nto arranged in chronological order but in the order of divine preferance. For instance, the first verses the prophet received, which begun with "Read! In the name of Thy Lord...", are in chapter 96, not in chapter 1).

People write things, people edit and compile written materials into books. Asking whether or not a particular book is true is like asking whether or not the ocean is true--it's a false question. Each religion has its own collection of sacred writings. In the case of Muslims, the Koran was written by one man, Muhammed, though there are also semi-authoritative commentaries by other people. In the case of Christianity, the Emperor Constantine and a group of clerics in 325AD got together to formulate a new religion and a committee edited the many works that were read and studied by the people, excluding some for political incorrectness, making a few changes here and there to fit the emperor's needs. Buddhism has collected writings from students and followers of the buddha. Hinduism has many collected works of all sorts.

All were from Allah (God) but Taurat, zabur, Injil (Bible) are missed up and re-written by humans and you can see the difference if you read a new book, and an old book (50 - 100 years ago), they were not protected.

But Quran was the last book, and Allah protected it.

That was a reason for a preach to convert to Islam.

These books have some similarity. The main aim of messages is to reform the society. There is no reason why all books should not be treated with respect. Koran has only one version. Different version of a books may be slightly different but their object and message are clear. We should respect all books and concentrate on messages for the well being of humanity.

I can only speak about the bible, since that is the book I am most aquainted with and the only one I believe is actually inspired by God, the only true God.

It was written over a period of many thousands of years, by 40 different men, as directed by God's spirit. There are 66 books in our "bible".

I can't convince anyone what to believe about the bible. Each person has to make up their own mind about that.

Read them, find out how they originated, if the claims each make have been backed up or if it's just folklore with no substance. Go to the core of each "religion" and find out who it was centered around and if they are who they claimed to be. Prophecies, manuscripts, archaeological evidence, eye witnesses and what are the followers saying today.
Finally, pray and ask that God would reveal His truth to you so that you would have little doubt as to when it was shown you and what it is and then keep your eyes open and watch, the answer will come. I can promise you that!

If there really is God-, and he inspired the Bible (66) -then all other religious books are fakes-because the Bible closes with a warning about adding to the words recorded in it.

The founders of these religions are the ones who wrote their books. Men wrote the religions of men. God is the author His book, "The Bible".
