Someone told me to place ice on it for 20 mins on and off 3 times and then use a hot cloth on my thigh. What do you suggest and is there something out there for it. you may have strained a muscle only used specifically when kicking a soccer ball. alternate ice and heat every few hours. if the pain does not subside, stay away from soccer a bit, at least until the pain is non-existant. also refrain from physical activity which may hurt it even more. if the pain does not go away, you may have torn a ligament or tendon in your thigh, which is very possible. a doctor will be able to tell you if you go.

You should alternate heat and ice every 20 minutes letting the muscle rest for 10 in between. Take ibuprofen around the clock for a couple of days and keep using the muscle, just don't do anything if its painfel. The ice reduces swelling and the heat speeds the healing process by pulling the fluids back into the body.

Its probably a strain which is similar to a sprain. You need to stay off your leg as much as possible to give it time to heal and keep it elevated. Also the ice and heat method does work too. You best bet is to see a Dr to rule out anything more serious.

Wear appropriate underwear - tighty whitey briefs, or even better a jockstrap. That is exactly what they are made for. Once your genitals start to grow, you don't want them flopping all around. The added benefits of more supportive undergarments are less of a chance of your johnson being exposed and no wedgies.

Use the RICE method. Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate. Rest it for a few days if you can. Ice for the first 2 days then use heat, use an ACE bandage to compress the muscle. and while you anre resting it try elevating it above the heart.

Sounds like you have torn a hamstring muscle, hot and cold compresses are the best way to go, and if it lasts more than a few days or gets worse see your Dr.
