The question has many metaphors. An agreement of less than $25000 and a handshake is the textbook definition of a "Gentleman's Agreement". The most famous gentleman's agreement of all time is the agreement between Henry Ford and Harry Fergusson to manufacture tractors. This entity later became the Massey Fergusson Company. "Horses" refers to horse power since the tractors had more horse power than any other tractor for their size at that time in history. These tractors were first used on "fields" in Nebraska.
