Not that I wish to add to your discontent in any way, but I regard love as being the only thing that makes this life bearable. Yes, it can be sheer torment at times. Unrequited love or love betrayed are two particularly hard things to take.
Still, when it is right, nothing else compares. Love is the kindness of strangers. It is the closeness that binds friends and family. It is romance, and yes, at times heartbreak. But then, if there were no valleys in life, how might we hope to appreciate the views from the hilltops?
Stick in there, kiddo! Love is also patience, and if you exert some at this hard time, you may find things will turn around for you. I certainly hope so.

Real love hurts, real love makes you totally open and vulnerable. Real love will take you far behind yourself, and therefore real love will devastate you. If love doesn't shatter you, you will not know love.
Love isn't always perfect. It isn't a fairytale or a storybook. And it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on & never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, & impossible to live without. Love is work, but most of all, Love is realizing that every hour, every minute, & every second was worth it because you did it together.

Sorry, can't agree with you. Love is a complex emotion and can bring the greatest joy into your life. Sometimes the journey can be hurtful, but in the long run pleasure and joy wins. To never love or be loved would be a very sad life to live.

Yes it does specially if you are heartbroken.
yes it does if you have been cheated on.
Yes it does if you alone loves.
Yes it does when nobody loves you.
But all these should not keep you from loving.
For it is better to have lost in love, than never to have loved at all.
Love your father, Love your mother, Love God and you will never be heart broken, and you will find love is heaven.

I guess it would depend on the relationship. With the right person love is great, however with the wrong person it is not so great. But then could it still be called love?

It can suck at times but I guess thats part of growing up, at least thats what people tell me. But eventually thehurt goes away and you will be okay. I guess all the suffering we go through helps us appreciate the right person.

read *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom* it will explain to you what being human is all about and how to work with your mind so that it doesn't drive you crazy and "cause" you to wind up involved in endless dramas and "suffering endless pain". it is NOT a book about religion. 99% of the human race has no clue about the info. in this book or how to apply it to their lives. be in the 1% and enjoy your life. good luck :-)

It more like J. Geils Band
You love her
But she loves him
And he loves somebody else
Ya just can't win
And so it goes
Till the day you die
This thing they call love
It's gonna make you cry
I've had the blues
The reds and the pinks
One thing's for sure
Love stinks
Love stinks yeah yeah
Love stinks
Love stinks yeah yeah
Love stinks
Love stinks yeah yeah
Love stinks
Love stinks yeah yeah
