I always try to either match a personality characteristic or something. I have a cat who's named after Rum Tum Tugger because he's always getting into things. He usually goes by 'Rum' though.
Can never go wrong by stealing characters from Cats.

Princess, lol, go by color of the fur and think of something that shares that color, such as you could name a black and white cat, pepper or oreo, be creative.
