Life has changed a lot these days...people were different in the past...they loved each other truly and each person was ready to die for the person he/she loves...but today...people are materialistic...they do anything for money even if it means losing the person that loves them the most....

However, seeing you "hopeless romantic" makes me believe that maybe there are still people out there who believe loveis the most important...just like me...love for me comes at the top of the list...but i haven't been so lucky in love...

So, you have one exception ;) ME! i don't take love forgranted...and it is my first priority...

It's not everyone's, but many people, it's dpown below something, Humanity is vain, imbecilic and unidealistic. As for it being taken for granted? Nope, not the real thing, the cold hard truth is that true love is shared between two people, perfect bliss, but about four in a billion will ever see that love, not to mention stay with it.

Love isn't always taken for granted. You must Love and be Loved. Maybe you are referring to a husband, in that case, don't let the Love go. You must rekindle it everyday.
If you are a young person, still dating, don't give up on Love, it could be just around the corner, it may be months or years before you find True Love....Don't Give Up!!!!!!!!!!

You know, i asked myself that question not too long ago and i went out there and told my bestfriend who i had always loved that i was so in love with him and i've found out that i'm so much happier now. We're a very happy couple. He too was in denial but i took that two years for us to come out and admit. I've seen the results of following my heart and that's all i've vowed to ever do. I used to find it extremely cheesy when people said things like that but now i know better and love is my first priority and i've promised myself never to take it for granted... Nobody ever must......

Because people do not take it seriously. They do not realize that along with "love" comes the responsibility of the heart and passion. When you throw sex in to the mix, that also changes everything. Kindness, gentleness, and passion are now put aside for "booty calls". These are reasons why so many great opportunities for great love fail. Also, I think that people become involved way too quickly, sexually. They meet, hook up, and continue to be intimate, then realize LATER, that they don't really "like" the other person. It's sad, isn't it?

i think love is taken for granted because people are so busy tending to their everyday life and worries. they dont stop to look outside of the box, they are not in tuned to the people around them that may need help or someone who could a second od someones time to say its ok, evertything is going to be alright. the world has not come to that point yet, they are selfish and self-centered to care about anyone else but themselves.

Love is always going to be like that for some because people don't appreciate love until its gone

B/c girls killed it when they went to college and lost their inhibitions from alcohol. Of course, if you really want to point fingers I'd suggest putting them in the direction of the bra burners back in the 60s...that's what really got that motion going.

it is't always taken for granted and it isn't everyone's last priority.

I am sorry that life doens't seem to be working out well for you right now, but being cynical doens't help.
