Can't you already pick up HD programming with just plain old ESPN?

Thanks for the response. Their schedule is confusing because they have an HD symbol next to the ESPN channel and also the ESPNHD channel. I have an HD tv and know what it is. I just didn't understand why they would broadcast both channels in HD.

ESPN is not on HD. If you want to see it in high definition you have to pay extra. To be able to see the difference you would have to have a TV that's HD compatible.
