I had a Lexmark x1100 and I upgraded to a 1200, but I'm still getting the same software error

a message saying lexmark is starting for the first time, please wait, it says it's scanning for applications that support the scanner- I've let it go all night with no results, I've had this problem with 2 printers now, so someone else must be experiencing this problem too

Can anyone help me with a solution???

What a coincidence. I have the same one. What a piece of junk!
Return it and get a different one! I got about 4 of them before I just chose another brand.

When you upgraded did you remove the previous software from your computer? If so your computer might be still trying to read from your old printer. Uninstall both the Lexmark 1100 and 1200. Reboot your computer and reinstall your Lexmark 1200. If that doesn't work go to this website below. You will see a series of icon choices. Click on the 'Support' iconYou will have to register first. They're good with the Lexmark printer series.

Not sure about the 1200, but the 1100 MUST be installed THROUGH THE ADD PRINTER WIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!

When all else fails.... READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.....
