well because we don't require sex to maintain our homeostasis. I mean although the world makes it seem like the only reason to get married or have a relationship with a girl/boy is just for the fun of sex, it doesn't mean we should acutally believe it. It's not that hard, yeah we all want to have sex, some more than others, and at different moments in our life it's hard to not control our horny feelings for the opposite, or in some cases same sex. But well we have a special gift of Free Will and Self Control. Not having sex is a safe way to live also. I mean you won't get pregnant or get a girl pregnant, you won't have to worry about any STD's. You won't screw up your "perfect" relationship when your partner has a problem with your proformance, or you have a problem with their's. I mean sex can lead to alot of problems. Yes it's a healthy part of all relationships, but well people these's days rush into it so fast. Sex used to be valued, now it's just something to do when you get bored. We need sex to reproduce and keep this world growing and running. And also to spread our legacy of our family name/genes. But well besides all that, we could all be virgins and nobody would kill us, nor would we die inside. Alot of people can't understand that sex isn't everything.
I've been a virgin my whole life(almost 17 years). I know I'm way too young compared to alot of people, but well how many people on here, are still virgins, or were at my age. I mean I'm waiting for the right person to take away my virginity. I value the fact that I haven't had sex yet. I want my first time to be with the girl of my dreams, and also for that girl to be a virgin. That way our sexual experience will be pure and something we've both never felt before. I mean my girlfriend and I both agreed that right now isn't a good time, and that we should wait for marriage, I really screwed things up big time with her awhile ago, because I let my horny feelings starting new ideas and feelings about her and her body that shouldn't have been thought. So well I'm dealing with the consequences, and it's all because of sex. So well personally sex brought me alot of problems. So I know that I've waited this long, I know I can wait for my girlfriend and I to get married so that it will have even more meaning in our lives together.

Answerer number 2 is right on the money! The truly mature people don't need intercourse to remain in love. There are so many other ways of showing and giving love. People who crave sex, live off it, demand it - they are the problems.

its possible, but who would want to? All this b/s about love without sex being so great is a lot of garbage. Sex is one of the best things in life, so enjoy.

Easy.. it shloud not rule your life nor love.. it has nothing to do with love and it's only real purpose is for procreation (babies)... it is just a physical and in the moment type of thing, it only lasts while you are doing it.. everyone can live without it, but eventually the human race would cease to exsist if no one did it.

Quite nicely, thank you . Sex isn't one of the requirements of life the way food, water and air are. It is necessary for the perpetuation of the species but not for your personal survival.

Once you do it a couple of times..... you cant, well at least I cant. I have heard of people having sex and not having it again for about five years. But they masterbate like crazy and all of them are depressed as hell. They are on depression pillls... So you make the call!!!!!!

You can't. If you are in love with someone you can spend everyday with them and sleep wit hthem and touch them and not have sex with them. It would drive you crazy. How could you go from 4x a day to never? I don't think so. It woule kill you.
