Mr Arpario is doing his job. I think there should be more people like him. MR BUSH will not do it. I think all the illegals should be put in jail maybe this way they will no come to the USA. This country shoul be proud of sheriff Joe Arpario, if the Governor of Arizona stops him, than only Arizona will be hurt. I think the only one looking out for Arizona is the sheriff. If I lived in Arizona I would call the sheriff, and say THANK YOU for looking out for me and my family. Than I would take him out for lunch. So do not mock the sheriff, just give him a well done. More people should be like him and maybe our country would better place to live. So thank your lucky stars that he is out there and looking after people.

Sheriff Joe is awesome. We were hoping he would run for Governor, but he decided he was needed as the Sheriff.
He has the inmates sleeping in 'tent city' with no luxuries. He gives them all pink underwear when they are brought in.
No, he is not rounding illegals up like cattle, but when he comes across them he doesn't turn his head.
I have a friend who's wife is illegal. She is very nice, clean, moral, raised her kids right, and is trying to learn English. She has now applied for papers.
I have also been exposed to illegals, as we live right on the border. They run through the orchards here and Border Patrol helicopters fly low all night around our home. It is very frightening, because you never know if or when they will run into your home to hide or to do worse. One pounded on our door one night, all dressed in black and muddy from the orchards.
It is really scary, but at the same time they are people too, and most of them aren't hard criminals, but they are breaking Federal laws. So I guess it is good if Sheriff Joe is catching those he can, because the Border Patrol can't do it all.

The sheriff AND the governor just wrote a scalding letter to The department of homeland security demanding that they do their jobs so we in Arizona don't have to pick up the slack of the federal government. The sheriff and the governor are the closest allies each other has.

Sheriff Joe is one of the greatest Sheriffs in my time. I know that some(not all) people think that he is so cruel and vicious to actually jail criminals in tents, make them wear pink shorts, eat green bologna and the infamous chain gangs. However, should we as Arizona citizens be sympathetic towards those who harm and break our laws? We are in a war that is not justified (by many) and those brave men and women in Iraq did not commit one crime and are forced to live in 110 degree weather and endure for our Nation. Now, where is the justice in that.

Yep! Go JOE!
Gotta be some consequences for your actions. The rest of us in the US live under those rules and understandings.
I just got back from Alaska ...there was a community up there that needed men to work on low labor stuff. So they imported a bunch of lowbrows to do this work and then the deal they made with them was that it was clear that, if you worked and earned $$$$ in this developing community, a % of your wages were held back and when it was time for you to leave, they sent the money to these guys after they had left the town and gone elsewhere.
The way it was put was ..."they men were uninvited to live in the town and to get paid after they left.
We should use this ploy on the illegals we catch that want to work. Good enough for Alaskans, good enough for the rest of the USA.

Yeah, he's great. The Governor sent a joint letter with him recently to the Border Patrol, so she can't think he is all bad.
I hope he doen't stop.
I will tell you something, illegals crossing the border are UP in California because they are avoiding Arizona and places in Texas where they have started to crack down. I wish our Governor would do something...
Maybe we have to find the right sheriff.

that arizona sheriff should be the patchwork quilt for all other sheriffs to follow. It takes a proud strong American to stand up to the feds, the mexicans, and those who hate him and say PISS on you, I am going to fix this for the people I protect. Wish I lived in Arizona and could shake his hand.

I love Arpaio. I wish we had a sheriff like him here in the town where we live. I find him to be courageous and up front. If we had more like him, we could cut down on the illegal problem a lot.
