Claire, I've heard that could happen, that the drug could eat away at flesh after extended use. The best thing to do is to see a doctor so he can rule out any infection and start a course of treatment.
Good luck and congratulations on your sobriety!

Something similar happened to a friend. It is not cancer, this is what all the chemicals did to your nose. You better go to a doctor and get a professional opinion. My friend lost all the bone of his nose, it is a sad situation, believe me. Congratulations for being clean.

Its a common side effect of long term coke abuse, its quite common that the entire join between both nostrils can be destroyed, the fact you are clean is a great thing, the damage done isn't dangerous, and it can be easily fixed with cosmetic surgery. Uk celeb Daniella Westbrook famously had this problem and had it fixed surgically, i suggest you research her

Are you sure you don't mean in the septum (the hard inner area between the nostrils)? Grace Slick of the Jefferson Airplane/Starship had most of hers destroyed by years of heavy use and had to have an artificial septum put in. In any case you need to see a doctor. Best of luck and please stay off of it.

years ago I saw a chick doin some and a big chunk of cartilage (spell?) came out. I freaked but she said that happens all the time. Are you sure it was skin and not cartilage? Does it feel different when you breathe? If you got insurance you should go to a doc that would freak me out
