It would be great if you did... you would be most welcome at the church I attend any time.
if you would like to know some about the basics I would invite you to read over my websit...it is not strictly baptist as I have some thoughts of my own that are not exactly as presented in the strictest Baptist sense... But That is why there are so many different flavors of Baptists...
I will be up front with you and state before you visit that I am not a fan of the Roman catholic way. I do not want to bait you in and then you find something that is against what you have been practicing....But if you attend any Baptist church you will find much that is not as it has been given to you by catholic dogma..
And yes, I have attended RC services...even took some clases with a friend in High school at the catholic church.... But i did not become of The Christian Faith untill I was 53 and have been of The Church for just over 6yrs....
You are welcome to lookover my site if you wish...here is the address

I don't understand why that would be bad. Of course, I am a protestant. The only stipulation I could see from the Bible that could remotely come into play, is that Paul says that if another man or even an angel of God where to come preaching a gospel differant than the gospel the apostles delivered that they were to be accursed, and set outside of the camp. If it's your conviction that the gospel the baptist church preaches is contrary to the true gospel of the apostles than you can't go. However if nothing in your investigation leads you to believe they're getting it wrong Biblically than you should enjoy whatever church, benefits you the most spiritually, and in which you have a place to benifit others the most. To serve and be served. I'm sorry I can't give you a Catholic answer but near as I can tell that's the Biblical answer.

Well, I don't believe you need a church per say to get in the good graces of God, just what you believe and what you do. Keep in mind the Baptist church is a very nice religion, however unlike Catholics they do not hold any relivance to Mary, the mother of Jesus, only as the mother of Jesus, and do not recongnize her for anything more. Through my own expeirence, the people who practice the Baptist faith are very nice and curtiouse people but some remain very narrow minded. Overall, it your purpose and intentions of why you as a Catholic are attending a Baptist church, however, I don't believe God will frown upon this. The bottom line is they worship and believe in God and practice his teachings (granted in a different variances then other religions), and that is all that matters. Good luck in what you are hoping to acomplish and I wish you all the best. This is a wonderful opertunity to further your knowladge as a christian, or even a believer in God, no matter what.

No, we had a precious 91 year old lady who was Catholic who went to our Assembly of God church for 29 years. She just died this week and I will miss her terribly. She never joined the church and didn't move her membership, but was accepted with open arms.

God does not care about slight difference. Remember that God loved the world so much he sent his only Son to die for our sins and anybody who believes that will be pleasing to God and have everlasting life. That's the part to remember, and don't sweat the denominational stuff. If you go with the attitude of worship, God will be happy.

I am Pagan and i go to a Assembly of God church on occasion.
i think that it really comes down to your personal beliefs. I think that God (or Gods in my case) really just want us to believe in them and the things that they stand for. It really does not matter what we call the paticular ritual that we use to worship. just that we worship...
hope this helps..

You should attend a church that teaches you the word of God chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

Not at all, nothing wrong with that. Get into the Bible for yourself so you can tell who is giving you the straight story. Bottom line: Jesus loves you, and died so we might live. That's as awesome as it gets.

Religion is man's attempt to explain God in such a way as to control others. If you believe in God, does it matter?
