One of the biggest word of advice. Go to a pet shelter and get her a gift certificate. Never give someone a puppy that they don't pick them selves. You may be able to get one for free but puppies are very expensive to take care of. I average about $200.00 a month on my animals. Make sure that this is something that your mom will have time and money for and then let her pick it out.

Many areas have Golden Retriever Rescues that specialize in the breed. A PUPPY may be tough to find but a young golden wouldn't be impossible.

Go check the animal shelter and do two good things at once. Rescue a dog and make mom happy.

you can check your shelter, if you can't find one there, than check the paper. good luck finding one but you made a good choice for a dog. they are the best dogs for any family. i have 3 of them and i also breed them, but i don't have any right now, sorry.
